Rosická Lucie

Lucie Rosická (*1998) is a graduate of the painting studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. During her studies she spent residencies in New York and Turin. In 2025 she was named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Although she trained as a painter, she works mainly with textiles and embroidery. Her work is a blend of the handicrafts she learned from her grandmother, classical painting and a passion for fabrics and textile materials. She explores the human body — its folds, its limbs, its parts — while combining traditional and contemporary techniques. Her embroidered pictures often capture female figures in their everyday lives, in intimate moments, or in activities such as taking selfies. She has taken part in many group exhibitions. Her first solo exhibition was held in 2024 at Platforma 15.
